Everyday we wake up and see a newspaper headline of a mishap due to weak infrastructure but we turn the pages of the newspaper and read it like as if we have read a piece of novel and turn our eyes away from the grim realities that we live in. It's only the person, who suffers the loss, realizes the pain. If it could be someone else this day it could be us next day. We call the sufferers as the victims of the weak democratic system. But as the definition of democracy itself contains these words "govt. by the people",we often forget that we are the base pillars of this democracy and we have been vested all powers to shake and remake this system. I guess it is us who have become weaker and the devil that nurtures on the weak is getting stronger. We need to be strong enough to raise our concerns be it a matter of social justice or an act of righteousness. We shall not forget what we have done in the past and if required we shall be ready to do it again. To drive the evil out of our country we have to be strong and we have to repeat the history but this time against one of our owns. With this note I urge all of you to play your part responsibly when next time you go to vote and choose the right candidate so that we shall not have to face such situations again and we can say proudly that we are INDIANS.

Bridge collapse at CWG venue:A collapse of faith in our democracy
The bridge that collapsed at the CWG venue is a symbol of how weak our system is and how we as Indians are always turning a blind eye towards such things and do not even consider it as matter of shame. Its not the collapse of the brigde, its the collapse of the faith of international community in India and in us as Indians. Its shameful for us that we choose such people to be our representatives in The Parliament which consider corruption as their birth right. It's a wake up call that every Indian should listen to and make sure to make use of our voting rights properly and raise a voice loud enough that the pillars on which the houses of such corrupt politicians and government officials stand should be shaken and they feel the tremor rising up in their bodies. We as Indians should become a united force against such people through righteous means and paths shown by our great leaders. If we can drive British out of our country, who ruled us for 100 years, why can't we do the same with people who are exploiting our country. We had the power and we have it now also the only difference is at that time it was an outsider and this time it's our fellow Indians(so called but I won't consider them to be Indians).

Nice post! It is truly a shameful incident, another feather in the CWG cap that India is trying to wear. Though we don't have many decent options to choose from while casting that "vote".

ReplyDelete@jhony.g thnx...
ReplyDelete@manisha yes its pretty shameful but I was shocked to see that the spokesperosn representing the CWG committee saying that it's not a matter of shame. I guess that man did not even have the dignity to accept the truth.
