Introspection is the way out of Corruption

As my friend @Aditya quotes it really well in his words:
"Corruption is part of our culture...... should we just destroy it in one shot? Are we planning for revolution which is against our culture? Are you not going to pay "mama" 100 bucks next time when u dont have license? Are you not going to give any bribe when you are going to pass any plan in P.M.C. ? I dont think so..... Please prove me wrong...."

I guess he is absolutely right  in stating the fact in disguise that it's not the nation or its leaders who make it corrupt. It's the culture that has been set by us, by the people of our very own nation. Today when I see lakhs of people supporting this cause, which I support too, I find it amusing that most of us have been a cause and victim of this at several times. Have not we ever tried to cheat the system in one way or the other. That is a corruption in one form too.  It's not the revolution that we need , it's introspection that is required. Fear cannot be a cause of introspection but awareness can be. Passing a bill that entitles you to punish the corrupt can only motivate more corrupt means as it's the mindset of the people that should change.I am not against any bill or law. Laws are meant to restrict the influence but not to eradicate the same. Next time when you are caught in a situation where you can get your work done easily by paying a nominal amount, can u promise yourself not to take the path and take the right path and choose not to pay those money scavengers. In order to eradicate corruption it requires a strong ethical culture that should be nurtured by every citizen of the nation. Those values and ethics should be instilled in everyone's mind and heart, so that next time you want to be corrupt your ethics get in your way. My dear fellow citizens introspect and I can say with confidence that you can bring the change that you want.

PS: These are my own views. I am not against any cause that helps my nation achieve great heights but I want people to give a thought before they actually set out to follow the herd.

Job Hunting - My mantra for getting hired

Looking for a job change but not able to convince the recruiter that you are the right candidate for this job. But yes you want that job desperately as it pays you better or adds value to your profile.Well here are some tricks that you might follow to get yourself hired.I learnt it after being interviewed quite a lot of times and interviewing a lot of candidates freshers as well as experienced during my professional career. But my recent adventures have been worth it and I have managed to start converting a few lately. Here are my tips to you:

  1. No matter how desperately you want that job remember the recruiter is also equally desperate to close this position, so there exists a mutual need and you can be the person who can close this open position All you need to do is remain calm and composed and weigh your answers well but never show desperation. You will definitely hit the dead end if you say that you can do anything for this job. Dude you need to have some self respect and some morales to prove you are a good candidate.
  2. Always answer in an affirmative way. Do not annoy your interviewer at any stage. If he/she gets pissed off at any moment due to your arrogance you are never going to get past that level.
  3. Prepare well the basics if you are a fresher. Get ready to be grilled on your favorite subjects. For experienced professionals prepare well for every single item you mentioned in your resume. You cannot say I just mentioned it for the sake of mentioning it.
  4. Always read carefully the company's requirements and prepare yourself well based on the description of the profile sent to you before the interview for which you are being interviewed. Scan through each and every item carefully. If you are not provided with a complete profile description always ask for the same.It helps to judge what might be the expectations from you.
  5. Do a bit of research on the company and see how you can add value to them as company expects you to be an asset and not a liability.
  6. Do not throw too much of technical jargon if you are not very sure about it. Always present your answers in a very lucid manner and give some examples to support your answer. But please do not say anything that you do not know. Any technical term that you may use might become a question and then you will caught in a vicious cycle of bluffing and you know the end very well.
  7. Now comes the best part, there is always something that you do not know but interviewer ends up asking the same thing, now you have to convince him that you can do the job even without knowing it at this moment but you can learn while doing the job. The best way to do so it to relate this question to something that you know somehow and then explain that very well. Seeing your knowledge in whatever you have done and you know interviewer will definitely take it as a positive point and will try to ask you from what you know. Remember it is you who drives the interview in the direction you want it to.
  8. Always be very respectful when you interact with HR. They definitely pay attention to the way you interact with them.Technical teams usually like frank people.
  9. Last but not the least be clear in your communication. Communication skill is a very big asset and you can do wonders with it. I mean it !!
All these points that I mentioned above may or may not hold well in every case but this is what I have learnt from my experiences so far. Also they all are equally important.

Any suggestions or corrections are always welcome.

Hope to see you in another job soon!!

What it takes to grow beyond yourself?

Have you ever wanted not to be yourself? Have you ever wanted to grow beyond your weaknesses? Have you ever faced such a situation where you thought it would have been better without you? We all face such situations in our lives but the questions is how many of us try to grow beyond this and try to see the bigger picture. We are so entangled in our own lives that we hardly try to take a step back and try to look what we have painted on the canvas of our life. We often end up doing the same things again and again. But how often we try to learn from what we did earlier. I never call anything I do a mistake as it is not it is just the wrong approach that I might  have taken or it may be that the results that I expected were different than they actually came out to be. Now getting to the real question "How to grow beyond yourself?" . Follow some simple rules to do that and you will certainly feel the change in your perception of you and the world around you. Some of these basic rules are:
  1. Never think of yourself as a failure. As failure is not a term that you choose for what you did and it did not turn out to be the way you wanted. It's just that you did not succeed in first attempt. May be you need a little bit more experience in doing that. So just give it some more shots to succeed. Remember Rome was not built in a day.
  2. Never let your weakness as they call it in your way in whatever you want to do. In such matters think of your weakness as an opportunity to grow.
  3. Never feel that you do not have a purpose in your life. This is the biggest mistake people commit. They think they do not have a purpose in life.Everyone has a purpose in life and it's just with time we discover the same.
  4. Never give up on yourself. Situations might not be in favor of you all the time but it does not mean that you give up on yourself or what you believe. Take sometime and keep a faith in yourself and you will definitely do the best in what you believe.
  5. Never give way to negative thoughts. Negative thoughts are like dark clouds looming over your head. Like dark clouds they try to shorten our sight to look beyond them as always there lies a bright sunshine beyond them.
  6. Whenever you do something no matter what you do always try to take a step backwards and try to look what you tried and what you did not and make yourself a mental note what worked out well and what did not.It will help you have a clear picture about your thought process.
  7. Never let jealous and hate make way into your head as you will never grow beyond yourself it you keep on making way for such thoughts into your head. They are like weeds that destroy the product of your effort and they grow really fast.
  8. Never believe in a single story. What I mean here by single story is that just by hearing about anything and just by seeing things for a moment do not try to make up a decision on them. You need to take time and analyze things before you actual make up your mind.
  9. Be generous in what you do and always help others as it will surely help you become a better human being.
These thoughts that I have summed up here are a few of what I think are really necessary to grow beyond yourself. But the first thing to start is that you need to believe in yourself and that is the first step towards it..

Bridge collapse at CWG venue:A collapse of faith in our democracy

The bridge that collapsed at the CWG venue is a symbol of how weak our system is and how we as Indians are always turning a blind eye towards such things and do not even consider it as matter of shame. Its not the collapse of the brigde, its the collapse of the faith of international community in India and in us as Indians. Its shameful for us that we choose such people to be our representatives in The Parliament which consider corruption as their birth right. It's a wake up call that every Indian should listen to and make sure to make use of our voting rights properly and raise a voice loud enough that the pillars on which the houses of such corrupt politicians and government officials stand should be shaken and they feel the tremor rising up in their bodies. We as Indians should become a united force against such people through righteous means and paths shown by our great leaders. If we can drive British out of our country, who ruled us for 100 years, why can't we do the same with people who are exploiting our country. We had the power and we have it now also the only difference is at that time it was an outsider and this time it's our fellow Indians(so called but I won't consider them to be Indians).

Everyday we wake up and see a newspaper headline of a mishap due to weak infrastructure but we turn the pages of the newspaper and read it like as if we have read a piece of novel and turn our eyes away from the grim realities that we live in. It's only the person, who suffers the loss, realizes the pain. If it could be someone else this day it could be us next day. We call the sufferers as the victims of the weak democratic system. But as the definition of democracy itself contains these words "govt. by the people",we often forget that we are the base pillars of this democracy and we have been vested all powers to shake and remake this system. I guess it is us who have become weaker and the devil that nurtures on the weak is getting stronger. We need to be strong enough to raise our concerns be it a matter of social justice or an act of righteousness. We shall not forget what we have done in the past and if required we shall be ready to do it again. To drive the evil out of our country we have to be strong and we have to repeat the history but this time against one of our owns. With this note I urge all of you to play your part responsibly when next time you go to vote and choose the right candidate so that we shall not have to face such situations again and we can say proudly that we are INDIANS.

Life - a continuous process of decision making and facing consequences

Life is a continuous process of decision making and facing the consequences of those decisions.let me explain you how? You make a decision and then follows it’s consequences.those consequences some time are good and some time are bad.depending on the outcome that is the consequences of the previous decisions you make new decisions and hence you bring to yourself new consequences which will in return push you towards making new decisions and hence this cycle continues till the one final consequence and that is we all know the death of human body.I state here death as not mere death but as the death of human body as we comprise of two things one body which is materialistic and has an end and one is our soul which exists forever as it is free energy and will keep on existing even when all the materialistic things will come to an end.According to science everything is energy and yes it is true. Our soul is also a form of energy that will keep on existing as energy can neither be created nor be destroyed. Isn’t it simple physics?

Changing face of the festival of colors

Holi is supposed to be a festival of colors. But in today's time it is becoming a festival of drunkeness and crime. The mythological significance of holi is the victory of good over evil but today's significance is victory of crime over law that is supposed to protect us. People get drunk and injured in fights, women get raped, this is the new face of the festival which is colorful in new ways with the color of blood on it.The cultural significance of the holi is to bind the society and it is said that enemies turn into friends on this day but not now as we see fights erupting between drunken groups which turns them into enemies not friends. Someone rightly named this age as "Kalyug" the time when truth will hold nothing and evil will prevail. All these things become a news for others, who did not suffer it, to read. But what about those who suffer from the evil of these festivals that were supposed to bring good in their lives. For them these festivals will always remind them of the suffering. For them these festivals no longer hold the significance of good. For them these are painful as they suffered the unwanted and nothing can change it.

I just wanted to state that the message that these festivals carry are now changing
with the change of time.I will end it with just one question. Is there a solution to it?

Life is so complicated. Let’s make it simple.

Life is so complicated we all keep on complaining about this. But how can we make it simple we never ever think about it. World and it‘s ways are so complex that even if you spend your life time you would not understand 1% of it completely. So how can we make our lives simpler?

We are living in 21st century and we have devised so many ways to enjoy life but we all keep on craving for one thing or the other most of the time. Do we ever sit and think how much enjoyable time we spent craving for all those materialistic things? Do we ever sit and think how much time we spent regretting of doing some blah blah things? Ask yourself sometimes you are lost thinking about how are you going to make your boss happy, sometimes you are lost thinking how are you going to make your family and relatives happy. If  rather than thinking of all this nonsense which anyways is going to be there always, we would have spent that time keeping our lives simpler by leaving all those worries aside and enjoying every little moment of life we would have been happier by those x number of times(x is number of worries you carry with you).

There is nothing simpler than just keeping that bad shit out of your mind and enjoying and celebrating life. On your journey of life when you were set upon you had nothing and when you will leave you will take nothing with you but memories and let those memories be of how you enjoyed your life as you do not even know if you are  going to live or die the next moment. So why waste time start living this moment and forget the rest. Mark this moment as the end of all those worries as they will be solved by themselves as we keep on doing what they call our karma and start living to make life simpler.
Live it …….. :)
